Autumn in the Smokies
The Great Smoky Mountains are beautiful year-round, but there’s something magical about the time just between Summer and Fall. The days are comfortable with an average of 80 degrees and the nights begin to cool off making them perfect for a campfire under the stars.
The most wonderful thing about Autumn just might be the lack of traffic. The kids are back in school and life goes back to normal when Summer ends. If you find yourself with a couple of free days, come to the Smokies. The weather is perfect for outdoor activities and attractions are not nearly as busy as they are throughout Summer months.
If you love family-friendly competition, Crave Golf Club is the place for you. Mini-golf on the rooftop or inside, mini-bowling, escape rooms, and a candy store make for a perfect day of play! The view from the rooftop course is a beautiful display of red, yellow, and orange leaves all over the mountainside.
For outdoor adventure, check out Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Supper Show, the most affordable dinner show in Pigeon Forge, and Adventure Park. You’ll experience thrilling lumberjack competitions and an exciting ropes course, zipline roller coaster, and log-rolling!
When the weather gets chilly, indoor fun is a must. TopJump Trampoline & Extreme Arena is the place to be for free jump, ninja course challenges, arcade games, and climbing walls. Adventure awaits for the whole family at TopJump!
Hotels and cabins have more availability with lower prices than any other time of year! Whether it’s a week’s vacation or a weekend getaway, you’ll have your choice of nice hotels and cabins in the mountains at a great value.
A few can’t-miss-events happening in Autumn are: Oktoberfest at Ober, Great Pumpkin LumiNights at Dollywood, and of course, the Pigeon Forge Fall Rod Run!
Without the traffic, long lines, or wait times, this vacation will be the most relaxing yet.
See y’all in the Fall!
